Growing up in Mumbai, India I was surrounded by the sights and sounds of the vibrant city. Yet, it was the cuisine of India that truly filled my senses- from the warmth of the Tandoori oven to the colorful and aromatic spices, the noises of the marketplace, and the tantalizing flavors of my favorite dishes.
My passion for cooking combines with my scientific background in nutrition (a Masters in Nutrition & Dietetics from Columbia University)
allows me to adapt traditional Indian Cuisine to create healthy, light, easy to prepare dishes that delight the senses and nourish the body.
Now you too can discover and enjoy Indian Cuisine with Supriya's Kitchen. We offer a variety of instructional programs, resources, products and even catering to meet your needs and interests.
I took Supriya’s Zoom class on making Tandoori marinade for chicken and vegetables a couple of months ago. It was fun to watch her make. Her instructions are thorough. Fortunately, I had most of the ingredients and so I tried the recipe. It was very easy to follow and my family and I enjoyed the Tandoori chicken dish. Supriya is very knowledgeable and passionate about Indian cooking. I like that she cares about making a tasty but also healthy dish.
