Cloves have a fragrant smell and a sharp pungent taste. It is mostly found in India, Madagascar, and Indonesia. Cloves are flower buds of a flowering tree. They look like nails. It is found in both whole and ground form. It is a staple in Indian cooking. Cloves are used in sweet desserts and in savory meat dishes. It is used in soups, meat stews, and rice pilafs. It is used as one of the main spices in chai masala.


Cloves have many nutritional benefits; the eugenol in cloves is used to reduce stress. May alleviate tooth pain. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. It helps in regulating your hunger and reducing obesity. It helps in controlling diabetes.
