Chana Masala is a spicy chickpea curry which is often found in Indian restaurants. Chickpeas cooked in a savory sauce with spices. Once you get a taste of this dish chickpeas will never be the same again. Chana Masala could be meal by itself with a side dish of salad or vegetable and with rice or bread. Chickpea Curry or Chana Masala Ingredient List: 2 15.5-ounces cans of chickpeas 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 stick cinnamon 2 inch piece of ginger, peeled and finely chopped 1 green chili, finely chopped 3 garlic cloves, finely grated 2 to 3 tablespoon canola oil 1 28-ounces can of plum tomatoes 2 onions, chopped finely 3 teaspoon tomato paste 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder 1 teaspoon cumin powder 1 teaspoon garam masala 1/2 teaspoon turmeric 1 stick cinnamon 1 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoon cilantro leaves, chopped finely
